Nagarkot provides a grandstand panorama of the Himalayas.
The snowy peaks are magnificent at the sunrise and
the sunset. Often visible are the Everest(8848 meters,
29,028 ft.) Lhotse (8576 meters, 28,135 ft.), Cho-oyo
(8463 meters, 27,674 ft.), and Manaslu (8163 meters,
26,693 ft.), five of the world's tallest mountains.
Nagarkot
also offers good bird watching in the forest and
short hikes in a peaceful hilltop resort setting.
