Coping with
ongoing changes in the possibilities of trekking routes in
the Ladakh region, this map already sees its third
edition. It includes more trails in the western and south-
western parts and also features some altitude figures of
passes on the map . Several improvements have been made
concerning the used colours and readability.
The purpose of
this map is to give an overview of the major trekking
trails existing in the Ladakh region. It was found the
already existing map material on Ladakh was often outdated
and incomplete, containing misinformation on right
locations of trails and places, and also names kept on
being misspelled. Special features are the including of
important monasteries and temples in the area.
